The Arran 16 is a quality craft. Its particular heavy build makes for a strong and stable boat, which is ideally suitable either as a family day boat, or a work boat, or for company hire fleets. With its category "C" rating, this craft is as at home on the sea as it is on rivers and lakes. In fact, professional inshore fishermen have been making their living with this craft for years and find its stability, open deck space and economic running costs hard to beat. The unusually large and deep bilge and the centre keel make the Arran 16 an ideal trolling boat. It will maintain its course in strong winds even at those slow trolling speeds.
The Arran 16 can be described as two boats in one. With its easily removable cuddy the craft can be used as an open boat for those warm sunny days or, with the cuddy in place, giving that extra protection when needed.
The Arran 16 can be supplied as a basic open boat, allowing you to fit your own tiller operated outboard. Alternatively, we can fit a steering helm, seats and grab handles. More information on this is available on request.
The boat has been in production for over twenty five years with the outer hull shape changing little in that time. It has a well proven history and excellent safety record.
